How does Haven Life Plus work?
Haven Life Plus is a rider (think, policy feature) that has been added at no additional cost to the Haven Term policy. If you’re a customer in one of the 45 states where Haven Life Plus is available, you’ll notice an interesting new icon in your Account Center. It kind of looks like the Haven Life logo. With a plus sign. (See what we did there?)
Clicking that icon will take you to your private Plus page, where you can learn more about the service, access your personal Plus promo code and take advantage of any current offering.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer the Haven Life Plus rider to policyholders in Florida, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota and Washington state.

What benefits are offered with Haven Life Plus?
The team felt very passionately about which partners and services would be included in the debut of Haven Life Plus. First, the offering had to be closely aligned with our mission to make life less hard. That meant, it needed to be simple, smart and devoted to customer-centric innovation. Second, the benefit had to provide worthwhile protection – something that would make everyday living easier. And third, but maybe most important, our customers had to actually want it.
Earlier this year, we surveyed some of your fellow Haven Term policyholders to find out what sort of benefits would appeal most to them. Eighty-three percent said they would use a free online will service. Sixty-six percent said they were interested in a digital vault for storing documents.
With that in mind, we identified the right partners to bring those services to you. Haven Term policyholders can start utilizing the following benefits today.
An online legal will service to ensure your affairs and wishes are in order
More than 150 million Americans know they need a will but haven’t gotten around to it yet due to a concern of it being a confusing, time-consuming process. Sound familiar?
Trust & Will offers an online solution for creating a legal will that’s streamlined, intuitive and quite pleasant. Through Haven Life Plus, customers will be able to create legal wills for them and their partner at no charge.
We think this is a valuable way for our customers to easily check yet another important item off their to-do list.

A simple and secure solution for storing your most important documents
One thing I’ve always noticed is that anytime something wonderful happens in your life (you get married, you have a child, you buy a home) the number of critical documents you need to keep track of multiples by an exponential amount.
Yet, we recently conducted some original research and found out that 88% of adults still store their important documents in a file cabinet, folder or not at all. A lifesaving app for your mobile device
Although not technically part of Haven Life Plus, we will continue to offer LifeLink, our free-to-all mobile app, alongside the new rider as yet another form of protection for you and your loved ones.
Launched last fall, LifeLink allows you to connect instantly and accurately to emergency services in over 250 countries at the touch of a button. Also, in the event of a 9-1-1 call, LifeLink will immediately alert anyone in your contacts that you wish you to be notified.
LifeLink is a natural extension of the Haven Life mission and something that we’re proud to make available to not just customers, but everyone.
It’s not just easier life insurance, it’s an easier life
Until now, our focus has primarily been on improving the life insurance experience so that it’s something people can confidently and conveniently apply for on their own. But it’s no secret that providing everyday value during the post-purchase period is something the industry has struggled with.
In fact, our survey of non-policyholders also showed that of people between the ages of 26 and 54 who had life insurance, 50% of them didn’t even know the name of the company or agency providing that coverage.
We’re in a unique position to change this trend with Haven Life Plus, a program that allows us to give something back to customers while asking for nothing (no data, no hoop-jumping, no additional cost to their premium) in return.
For current customers, we hope that Plus is further proof that we care about them as more than just a policy number. Haven Life Plus is the marketing name for the Plus Rider, a rider to the Haven Term insurance policy that is available to Haven Term policyholders (except in NY, FL, SD, WA, and ND). The Plus Rider is included as part of your policy and offers access to “Plus Benefits,” which are additional products, services, and benefits. Although the Plus Rider is not available in California, California residents may still be able to opt into certain benefits and services available under this rider. Participation in the services and benefits provided are optional.
The Plus rider provides access to additional services and benefits either at a discount or at no charge for certain products and services (“Plus Benefits”). Not all Plus Benefits are available in every state. Plus Benefits are provided by third party vendors (“Partners”). Neither Haven Life nor MassMutual is responsible for the provision of Plus Benefit services or benefits. By activating a Plus Benefit, you are entering into a customer agreement with the Partner. Please review all Partner terms and conditions carefully. Plus Benefits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and are subject to change at any time.
Haven Life and MassMutual will not share your personal information with Partners, and Partners will not share personal information with Haven Life or MassMutual.
