Quick and simple Approval
Both my husband and I got term life from Haven life. We recently had a baby girl and we wanted to make sure she’s protected financially if something were to happen to us. He got his first then i got mine after seeing how quick and simple the process was. We are both healthy adults in our late 20s so it was fairly simple and easy to get approved. The price is fair. Term life provides peace of mind for trajedy as we continue to build our wealth. We plan to be self insured when our term expires. I would recommend this company.

Haven Life was very easy to use. Application was simpler than other companies, and the medical exam was convenient, with someone coming to my house to do it. Rates were low and they are backed and owned by Mass Mutual, which is a highly rated company (if you're concerned about solvency). Highly recommend.
I got quotes from 3 different companies. HavenLife did not deviate from the quote until it was issued.

I am licensed in TX for Life & Health insurance so I am familiar with excellent or poor underwriting and medical exam services. I am very pleased with the approval process.

I recently purchased a 10-year Term Life insurance policy with Haven Life at a great rate for my age group. The application process was fairly easy to complete. After completing the application I was informed that a medical exam my be required based on a review of my application. I was assisted by a Haven Life representative named Paya, whom was extremely courteous, professional, and very helpful answering my questions and providing updates during my application review process. For us older folks
This is for us older folks. I decided to finally get some term life insurance or should I say with a twist of the arm from my wife.
I am 64 years old. Just to clarify, I am in very good health, lean and very active. Only had a lumbar fusion surgery.
Anyway, I compared two companies based on my research that included this company and my current insurance company that will remain nameless other than they attract former military.
So, I read other reviews about this company requiring a health examination,etc, etc. same holds true with that other company. Of course a company will perform their due diligence and base their decision on your overall health especially at my age compared to a thirty year old! I can not fault them.
I already had a medical exam with that other company as I waited for their obtaining my medical records from my local VA Medical Center. I informed Haven Life of this and they were able to obtain a copy of the medical exam (no need to have performed twice) and received my VA records. This process takes time and it is not the fault of the company.
I estimate the process took approximately 5 to 6 weeks.
Unlike the first company, I strongly feel Haven Life (special recognition to Catherine) provided service excellence by keeping me informed along the way and listening to my concerns.
Haven Life offered me a much better rate than the for mentioned. I expected to pay a much higher rate at my age but it is what it is.
Bottom line here for us older folks (I believe you must obtain this insurance under age 65) is if you are prepared to pay higher premiums compared to a younger person, obtain a fair competitive priced premium, experience excellent customer service, and willing to be a little patient during the process, then you came to the right place.

Horrible Customer Service
After signing up for the health exam, and proactively calling to confirm the appointment - the person scheduled to conduct the exam was a no-show. After calling back to see what happened was told that the person scheduled was actually not working that day. A waste of an entire work day and inconvenience of having to fast. Haven Life's response was sending me around a circle of auto responses with no resolution after multiple attempts on my part. I have since found another life insurance provider who was a much better fit and no health exam was required due to my demographic information.
Haven life insurance has good prices and make it easy to sign up, my complaint is their referral process. I was referred to them by my father and their referral offer to him was not honored even though I used his link. I did this for my Dad then I saw their prices and it is really affordable so I am happy with them except I never would have even signed up without my Dad referring me. They should do what they say and give out referral bonuses otherwise people like me would never know how good of a life insurance company they are !!!
I'm recently new to Haven Life. I just had my meeting with a medical examiner recently and I need to go on record about the experience. I live in Brooklyn and as sent to the Midwood neighborhood (1222 Avenue M was the address, I believe). I arrived to my appointment and it was a shared office with 4 people all at computers not wearing masks (indoors! in a PANDEMIC!!) and not social distancing. I froze and stood in the entryway with my mask on until I was told which private office I could enter. My medical examiner was laughing with another medical examiner about a third medical examiner who used the wrong needle for a blood draw on a different patient. The environment, the behavior of the medical examiners and the experience therewith was appalling. What are your protocols for medical examiners? How do you enforce them? Because this office and my experience was atrocious. Please contact me to continue the conversation.
The rate offerings of Haven Life are extremely competitive, and the actual insurance underwriting process from beginning to medical notifications, scheduling and receiving the policy is robust. But the user experience within the website is absolutely atrocious. The website is a nightmare to navigate. Although I would love to recommend Haven Life as a company, I wouldn't dare asking any person to navigate that buggie website.

Every year, Haven Life puts together an Annual Report to celebrate our customers and all they’ve accomplished over the past 12 months. But since 2020 wasn’t exactly normal, we decided to do something different.
I just started with Haven Life last week. The process to enroll on-line was very simple and straightforward. When an issue came up with my history they communicated the problem and together it was rectified. I had decided to use Haven Life after researching on the web. They came up in the top or number one in most if not all lists.
I was pleased with my rate quote and the ability to choose different amounts after I was approved. Haven scheduled my exam quickly and their website is easy to navigate during the process. I know underwriting takes time as to ensure a client is insurable, but I felt my underwriting process was quite lengthy. Part of it was my doctor had retired and getting medical records took some time on the clinic's end. I would have liked for Haven to be more proactive in informing me more about the details of the delays, but they did so when I contacted them. Customer service was very courteous. Underwriting was very thorough evidently, but I am fine with that as it allowed me to get preferred rates. I would recommend Haven to a friend. If the communication would have been more proactive and the process a little less lengthy (it was about 3 months start to finish), I would rate them 5 stars
